Jackson Hole Golf
Typically when people think of Wyoming, they either envision dusty cowboys breaking a mustang in a corral, trophy elk and deer walking through aspen and pine forests, or the spectacular scenery of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. But to ignore the other sporting opportunities in the area would be a mistake, because Jackson Hole golf courses rival most regions in the nation. Two internationally renowned courses find their home less than 15 miles from the town of Jackson itself, and many others are gain more recognition each year.
Here you will find a portion of the courses and clubs in and around Jackson:
Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club: Redesigned by the renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr., this course is perennially ranked among the top ten resort courses in the nation by Golf Digest.
Teton Pines: When the Vice President of the United States is a member of your club, you know you must be doing something right. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course and in 2002 Golf Digest ranked it as one of the top 75 courses in the United States.
Powder Horn Golf Club: Number 65 in Golf Digest’s “America’s Top 100 Courses” list.
Buffalo Golf Club: Opened in 1928, the course has remained popular for over 7 decades. It has been featured in USA Today.
Sheridan Country Club: We can’t forget the grandaddy of them all. This course dates back to the early 1920’s and was played by men of power and influence. This is a 9-hole course with separate tee boxes for the second round.
