Jackson Hole Mountain Bike Trails
What better way to experience the area around the Grand Teton Mountains than by riding a quiet and unobtrusive vehicle through backcountry roads and paths? That’s exactly what you’ll enjoy on one of the wide variety of Jackson Hole mountain bike trails that will take you through lush valley meadows, aspen and pine forests, and along pristine rivers and lakes that will enthrall your senses as you glide silently by.
There are numerous outfitters that offer guided tours and bicycle and equipment rentals. The tours range anywhere from a half-day to multiple-day trips and usually can accommodate children 8 and up. The tours can be tailored to fit any ability level, from leisurely rides on level, paved roads to singletrack journeys through dense forests. Two of the more popular and easier tours are Antelope Flats, which travels along the sagebrush meadows on the eastern slope of Grand Teton National Park, and Snake River, which follows the famous stream through the basin. Of course, no matter what kind of ride you choose, the scenery is sure to take your breath away.
And speaking of breath, please remember that most of the area surrounding Jackson Hole is at least 6,200 feet above sea level, and many of the trails lead you higher than that. Be sure to allow yourself time to acclimate and avoid altitude sickness.
So reserve a Jackson Hole condo today and start pedaling! We’ll help point you in the right direction.
